Floating holiday homes
Water right outside the window, the lapping of waves and a constant, gentle rocking – holidays on the water have a charm all of their own. Visitors to the Lusatian Lakeland can enjoy a stay with a difference in one of the floating holiday homes.
Lake Geierswalde offers waterside holiday experiences like no other in floating holiday homes direct by the shore. The first opened in 2009, and now there are five well-appointed designer holiday homes along the jetty available to rent all year round. They form a small floating community that sits alongside other beach-side homes. Plans are in place for up to 20 holiday homes on the water, each with its own terrace or sun deck and extensive glazed areas. No matter which window you look out of, there’s water right in front of you, while the sunrises and sunsets alone are well worth staying here for. The high-quality, well-appointed interiors provide everything you need.
The first floating homes on Lake Gräbendorf and Lake Partwitz were unveiled in 2006. The floating holiday home on Lake Partwitz was created as the model for a whole floating community. Plans are in place to launch an innovative home on Lake Bergheide too, with a prototype for a highly autonomous floating house set to take to the water in autumn.
