Cycle route around Lake Geierswalde

There is plenty for cyclists to discover on the 16km loop trail around Lake Geierswalde. Boats are not the only thing on the water here, you can also stay in a floating holiday home. The route crosses three canals. Koschen Canal was the first navigable waterway in the Lusatian Lakeland, linking Lake Geierswalde and Lake Senftenberg. The Rostiger Nagel (rusty nail) viewing tower on the Sorno Canal is one of the distinctive landmarks of the region. The third is the Barbara Canal, which links Lake Partwitz with Lake Geierswalde.

Parking: On the southern shore of the lake in Geierswalde, near the campsite and pier (charges apply); in Kleinkoschen on Koschen Canal; at the Rostiger Nagel viewing tower in Kleinkoschen
Terrain: The circular route follows the asphalt loop around the lake and is predominantly flat.
