In-line skating in the Lusatian Lakeland

The Lusatian Lakeland offers excellent opportunities for in-line skating. Some lakes have fully surfaced loop trails suitable for in-line skating and cycling.

Another benefit of these new loop trails is their width, 3.5 metres on average. Motorised vehicles are not allowed to use these paths.

Please note:

Use of the cycle paths for skating is always at your own risk. The cycle paths are not explicitly designated as skating routes. There is therefore no constant monitoring for imponderables, soiling and impairments. Steep descents and narrow sections on the paths are not signposted at every point.

Please skate carefully and at an appropriate speed to avoid accidents.

Lake Bärwalde offers speed skaters a circuit built to international competition standards, with an oval track that is 200 metres long and 6 metres wide. The new in-line skating arena on Boxberg shore can currently be used free of charge at any time.
