Travelling to the Lusatian Lakeland by car

• If travelling on the A4/A13 from Dresden, take exit 17 for Ruhland.
• If travelling on the A4 from Dresden, take exit 88 for Salzenforst.
• If travelling on the A4 from Görlitz, take either exit 91 for Weissenberg or exit 88 for Salzenforst.
• If travelling on the A13 from Berlin, take either exit 14 for Grossräschen or the exit 15 for Klettwitz.
• If travelling on the A15 from Berlin, take exit 5 for Cottbus-Süd and head in the direction of Spremberg.

Travelling to the Lusatian Lakeland by train

• From Dresden, you can travel to the Lusatian Lakeland using the regional train lines RE15, RE18 and S4 (change at Ruhland).
• From Berlin/Cottbus you can use the regional train lines RE2, RE18, RB24, RB49 and OE65.
• From Görlitz, you can use the ODEG train lines OE64 and OE65.
• From Leipzig, you can travel to Hoyerswerda on the regional train line S4 and to Senftenberg on the regional train lines RE18/RB49

Travelling to the Lusatian Lakeland by bike bus (‘FahrradBUS’)

VVO FahrradBUS from Kamenz to the Lusatian Lakeland

In the Oberelbe integrated transport network (VVO), FahrradBUS services operate on bus route no. 150/166, which connects Kamenz, Bernsdorf, Lauta, Laubusch, Grosskoschen on Lake Senftenberg, Geierswalde, Klein Partwitz, Schwarzkollm and Hoyerswerda. On Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays between late March and late October, regular bus services of the participating transport providers have a special trailer attached with space for 20 bicycles. All you have to do is get on, sit back and enjoy a comfortable lift to the starting point of your bicycle tour. Please register in advance if you are planning to use this service with a group of more than five persons.

From Dresden, you can travel to the Lusatian Lakeland by train using the regional train lines SB34, RE15 and RE18/RE11 (change at Ruhland). To register for the Upper Lusatian regional bus service, please call +49 (0)3591 626 236.

FahrradBUS from Bautzen to the Lusatian Lakeland

The transport providers Regionalbus Oberlausitz GmbH and ZVON operate a convenient bus connection from Bautzen to the south of the Lusatian Lakeland. If you want, you can also take your bike on this service. On weekends and bank holidays from April to October, special buses operate on route no. 125 between Bautzen, Lake Bärwald and Nochten Boulder Park. Bicycles are loaded onto an attached trailer with space for 20 bikes. Travelling to the Lusatian Lakeland by coach

You can travel to Hoyerswerda and Spremberg in the Lusatian Lakeland by coach. FlixBus operates coach routes between both of these towns and Berlin. There are also options for travelling by coach from Cottbus and Bautzen.
