Brandenburg Textile Museum
From 2024, a new exhibition concept will embed the show in the social, economic, cultural and ecological contexts of textile production. Greatly expanded, the new permanent exhibition will also present the regional history of eastern Lusatia and the history of the city of Forst, including the topics of "coal" - the curse and blessing of Lusatia - and water use along the Neisse.
A special highlight in future will be the new locomotive hall for the "Schwarze Jule" - the last surviving locomotive of the Forster municipal railway from 1893, which will be on permanent loan here from the Dresden Transport Museum.
