Are there designated bridle paths? Are they free to use?
There are many designated bridle paths (in Saxony) and paths recommended for horse riders (in Brandenburg) in the Lusatian Lakeland.
In Saxony, charges apply for the use of designated bridle paths. Riders must purchase permits (€10 for one year) and tags (one-off charge, approx. €10) which must be displayed prominently on the horse. Monthly permits are also available at a lower price.
In Brandenburg, no additional charges apply for horse riding.
